Hey, your getting good at this site navigation business. Well done.
Ok so a bit about me, I was born at an early age on the 11th April 2001 the son of proud Greyhound parents. My father was called Moyne Rebel and my mother Heartbreak High. They named me Noirs Seanie and then when I was old enough they sent me off to kennels to be a racing dog.
I raced mainly at Wimbledon. My 1st race was at Harold Cross on 30th August 2002 and I retired on 26th August 2005. During that time I had 112 races, winning 32 and coming second in 26. During my racing career I stayed consistantly in top grade for 12 months and didnt drop below A2 for over 27 months, contested in 3 English and 1 Irish derby gaining quarter final level. I ran for nearly 3 years with no injuries. A trainer and owners dream, what a dog! even if I say it myself. According to rumours I've heard, out of the 35 children my mother had I was the 5th best at racing in the family.
Then came retirement and boy what a difference it makes. All these new things in the world like other breeds of dogs AND creatures called Cats, YUK I dont like them. You see when you are a racing dog all you see and meet is other Greys nothing else so literally everything is strange and different, often difficult too.
Still after a short while with the Rgt I was given a new home with a nice family in Ashford Kent. They looked after me for about 3 years until February 2009 when their lifes got too busy with their 2 children. They gave me back to the Rgt at Croftview Rehoming Kennels, Meopham, Kent. I was heartbroken after giving them 3 years of love I was given away for no fault of my own. I spent 1 night in Rgt Croftview with Cheryl and her helpers before they packed me off to Rgt Hillview in Honiton Devon to a nice lady called Vicky who told me she had already found me a nice new home. I spent 3 lovely nights with Vicky and her son Joe in their brand new posh kennels before meeting my new mum and dad and being whisked off to Plymouth.
Well after all this moving about I was a little unsure of things, I mean 4 addresses in 1 week blimey I thought, where to next?
I need not have worried my new mum and dad are really cool love me lots and spoil me rotten. I get titbits every day and even get to sleep in the same bedroom. Whenever they go out they always take me unless I dont want to go, er like if its raining I aint going anywhere except my bed!
So thats pretty well it. Life is good now and my dad has started a monthly walk for all sighthounds (use the dictionary) and I hope you can join us on one. Look on the " My Monthly Walks" page for details or email me, troopergreyhound@yahoo.co.uk If you see an Rgt stand at a local event in the Devon or Cornwall area come and have a look my mum, dad and me may be helping out and even if we're not you can always donate some cash or buy something for yourself.
